Alfred State sophomore center Catherine Bialecki (Alfred Almond) has earned a weekly honor for the third straight week. Bialecki was named the Association of Division III Independents Player of the week for the second time in the last three weeks and the third time this season.
Bialecki averaged 22.0 points, 12.0 rebounds and 4.7 blocks per game in three games for the Pioneers. The sophomore extended her streak of double-digit scoring to 16 straight games. The center scored 20 points with 17 rebounds and four blocks as Alfred State earned a victory over fellow AD3I member SUNY Canton on Saturday. Bialecki capped the week off with a career high 35 points on 17-of-30 shooting at SUNY Delhi on Sunday. The sophomore also added 11 rebounds and seven blocks in the contest and ended the week shooting 45.8 percent from the field.
The Lady Pioneers lone contest of this week is this evening when they battle Hilbert at 5:30 p.m.
