The Alfred State women's basketball team earned their 3rd straight victory on Tuesday with a 53-47 over Roberts Wesleyan JV. The Lady Pioneers are now 15-7 on the year with three regular season games remaining.
Haley Witchella (Oxford Academy) led the way for the blue & gold with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Helena Covington (Elmira Free) chipped in nine points and six rebounds while Eleasha Wiggins (Brooklyn/Bedford Academy) had eight points and five steals.
The Lady Pioneers led 22-18 at halftime.
Alfred hits the road again on Thursday when they travel to Mercyhurst North East for an important Region III Division II battle. Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m.
