Both the Alfred State men's and women's swimming & diving teams were recognized as Scholar All-American by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). Alfred State is one of 720 teams, representing 443 institutions to achieve a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the Spring 2017 semester.
Alfred State sophomore basketball player Catherine Bialecki (Alfred Almond) and freshmen diver Nick Beach (Canandaigua) have been named the Association of Division III Independents Student-Athletes of the Month for February.
Alfred State freshmen divers Sarah Stevens (Wellsville) and Nick Beach (Canandaigua) have earned the AMCC Diver of the Week honors after solid performances at the conference championships this weekend.
Alley Sell (Hanover) won the 100 breaststroke to highlight day three action at the 2017 AMCC Swimming and Diving Championships. Sell and the Lady Pioneers are in 3rd place with 221 points while the men are also in 3rd with 246 points.
The Alfred State swimming and diving team wrapped up the regular season with a strong performance at the Geneseo Invitational. The women's team finished 3rd with 215 points while the men were 4th with 161 points.

Three members of the Alfred State swimming and diving team were honored by the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference. Rebecca Stevens (Wellsville) and Nick Beach (Canandaigua) were named Divers of the Week while Alley Sell (Hanover, PA) earned swimmer of the week honors.
The Alfred State women's swimming team won their 4th dual meet of the season in dominating fashion, 176-57, over Pitt Bradford. On the men's side the Panthers won a 149-112 decision. The Lady Pioneers finish the dual meet portion of their season 4-1.
The Alfred State swimming team competed vs. Indiana (PA) University in the Hall of Fame Invitational in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The Pioneers battled in the non-scoring event in the midst of their Florida training trip vs. the NCAA DII Crimson Hawks.
The Alfred State men's swimming team finished 7th and the women finished 9th at the three-day Fredonia Blue Devil Invitational this weekend. The Pioneer men scored 232 points while the women scored 188.
