Adam Wilkins (Rochester/Odyssey) scored his first goal of the season in the Alfred State 3-1 loss to SUNY Poly on Tuesday evening.
Amadou Ndiaye got the Wildcats on the board in the 17th minute when he snuck a shot past the keeper. Wyatt Snell and Ronaldo Charlton were credited with the assists. Wilkins tied it up just under three minutes later when he took advantage of a misplay by the Wildcats after a corner kick and found the back of the net.
Tyler Labbe gave the Wildcats back the lead in the 34th minute when he scored on a header. He added an insurance goal in the 64th minute.
SUNY Poly held a 18 to 5 shot advantage in the contest (10 to 1 shots on goal). Alexander Gigliotti recorded the victory while Vinny Biancuzzo (Genesee Valley) made seven saves for the Pioneers.
The Pioneers are back on the field on Sunday when they host Penn State Beaver at 3 p.m.
