Eight different players scored as Bryn Athyn defeated Alfred State 17-6 on Saturday afternoon. The Lions are now 1-1 on the year.
The Lions scored seven of the first eight goals in the game and never looked back. Bryn Athyn led 7-3 at half, and 12-5 after three.
Teddy Alvardo (Hilton) led the Pioneers with four goals while Joe Johnson (Churchville) scored twice. Aaron Buck (Churchville) and AJ Soto (Churchville) passed out an assist each. In net, Ryan Amidon (Fayetteville Manlius) made 12 saves in net.
Nolan Frame led the Lions with five goals and one assist. Ryan Lanels had a hat trick, Jesse Frazier scored twice and had three assists, and James Vandegrift had two goals and two assists.
The Lions outshot the Pioneers 42-23 and won 19 of 27 faceoffs.
The Pioneers are back in action on Friday when they travel to Myrtle Beach, SC to take on North Central College.
