In his 19 years as head basketball coach at Alfred State, Jerry Jusianiec has led the Pioneer basketball program to 233 victories. The 233 victories and 19 years are the most by any coach in program history.

During the 2017-18 season, the Pioneers won their most games since the 2008-09 season. Alfred State won 16 games (16-10) and was the #1 seed in the ACAA Tournament. Juwan Toliver was named the ACAA Player of the Year and Alexshay Pearce was named All-ACAA 1st team. Jusianiec was named the ACAA Coach of the Year.

Prior to coming to Alfred State, Jusianiec was an assistant coach at Division II LeMoyne College (Syracuse, NY) and Division III schools Washington & Lee University (Lexington, VA), and SUNY Potsdam.

Coach Jusianiec played collegiately at Elmira College where he was a four year starter and MVP his senior year.

Jusianiec also serves as the athletic department's facility manager.  He and his wife Melissa and their sons Maxwell and Jack and their daughter Isabel live in Alfred.
