Keuka used a 25-4 run to close the 1st half to break a 22-22 tie en route to a 92-62 victory on Tuesday evening. The Storm are now 1-1 on the year and the Pioneers fall to 0-3.
Rob Adams (Jasper Troupsburg) led three Pioneers in double figures with 17 points. Jared Bard (Jordan Elbridge) chipped in 12, Adam Fezza (Southhampton) had 11, and Tommy Hutson (Brooklyn/Susan McKinney) had nine off the bench.
The Storm used 29 offensive rebounds and held a 53 to 19 rebounding advantage. Jared Wagner led Keuka with 20 points.
The blue & gold have a few days off before heading to Rochester on Friday for the RIT Tournament. The Pioneers take on the hosts at 8 p.m. in the first round.
