Alfred State senior outfielder Cullen Franz (Cazenovia) has added three more postseason honors. Franz recently has earned honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), D3Baseball.com, and the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC).
Five members of the Alfred State baseball team have earned All-Independent baseball team honors in an announcement recently made by the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I). Senior Cullen Franz was named the Player of the Year and was joined on the 1st team by Garrett Mack (Avon), and Thomas Shofi (Carmel). David Zuber (Honeoye Falls Lima) and Lucas Cornell (Alfred Almond) were 2nd team selections.

The Alfred State basball team fell in an early 4-0 hole and could not rally all the way back as Fredonia defeated the Pioneers 7-3 on Monday afternoon. The Pioneers cut the lead to 4-3 in the 7th and stranded a pair of runners in both the 7th and 8th innings but could not plate the tying run.
