    The Alfred State baseball team collected their second straight victory, 10-4 over Pitt Bradford, on Sunday afternoon. The Pioneers collected 10 hits in the contest and Lucas Cornell (Alfred Almond) pitched a solid 7.1 innings.

    Alfred State and Hilbert split a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks won the opener 6-4 while Pioneers took the nightcap 9-2.
  • Four Run 5th Inning Lifts Wells
    April 19, 2017
    Wells used a four-run 5th inning to earn a 4-3 victory over Alfred State on Wednesday evening. The Pioneers stranded 12 runners on base in the contest.
  • Soaring Eagles Win Wild One
    April 18, 2017
    In a game that featured 35 runs, 24 hits, 25 walks, and eight errors, Elmira earned a 21-14 victory over Alfred State on Tuesday afternoon. The Eagles led 15-6 at a time but the Pioneers rallied to cut it to 15-14 in the 7th but Elmira put the game out of reach with a six-run 9th inning.
  • Pioneers Can't Rally All the Way Back

    The Alfred State basball team fell in an early 4-0 hole and could not rally all the way back as Fredonia defeated the Pioneers 7-3 on Monday afternoon. The Pioneers cut the lead to 4-3 in the 7th and stranded a pair of runners in both the 7th and 8th innings but could not plate the tying run.

    Alfred State senior outfielder Cullen Franz (Cazenovia) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents baseball Student-Athlete of the month for March.

    April 12, 2017
    RIT used a 4-run 6th inning to erase a 3-1 deficit en route to a 8-5 victory over Alfred State on Wednesday afternoon. The Tigers improve to 11-6 on the season.
  • Pioneers and Wildcats Suspended
    April 11, 2017
    The Alfred State baseball game vs. Penn College was suspended in the top of the 3rd inning of game one on Tuesday afternoon. The Pioneers led the Wildcats 5-1 but continued rain made the playing surface dangerous.
  • Pioneers and Wolves Split

    In a tale of two games, Alfred State and Keuka College split a Sunday afternoon doubleheader on the turf at Bolivar Richburg High School. The Wolves exploded for 24 hits in their 22-1 victory in game one while the Pioneers hit two homers and got solid pitching from Garrett Mack (Avon) in their 7-1 victory in the nightcap.

    The Alfred State baseball team collected 12 hits (five for extra bases) in game two as they defeated Pitt Bradford 12-3 to earn a split with the Panthers on Sunday afternoon. UPB limited the blue & gold to four hits took the first game 4-0.
