The Alfred State baseball team fell 3-0 to Garrett (MD) College in another pitchers duel. The Lakers collected just four hits but were able to pick up the victory.
Three of the Lakers four hits were for extra bases and accounted for all three of their runs. Garrett scored two in the 2nd and one in the 4th.
Stephen Golombewski (East Otto/Cattaraugus) went the distance for the Pioneers. He allowed four hits while walking six and striking out four.
The blue & gold were held to just three hits by the Bryor Weiss. Weiss walked one and struck out two while inducing 12 ground ball outs.
