Alfred State student-athletes Chloe Cox (Tucson, AZ), Michayla Salatel (Geneseo), and Lindsey Thiel (Liverpool) have been named Players of the Week by the American Collegiate Athletic Association.
Cox was named the Defensive Player of the Week as she contibuted both offensively and defensively in the Pioneers 3-0 victory over SUNY ESF. She helped the team shut out the Mighty Oaks and added a goal and assist offensively.
Salatel was named the Offensive Player of the Week after netting a pair of goals in the Pioneers victory on Saturday. She leads the blue & gold with eight goals, five assists, and 21 points.
Thiel earns the ACAA cross country Player of the Week for the second time this season after a strong showing at the highly competitive Houghton Invitational. Thiel finished 51st in 25:30.7 (6:51 per mile).
