Orvis the Pioneer will be part of the 2013 SUNY Mascot Madness Contest.  He takes on Roody from SUNY Canton in the first round of the single elimination bracket contest. 

This social media contest run by SUNY's Office of Communications will determine the top mascot among SUNY schools.  This year’s contest includes 30 SUNY campuses representing 472 athletic programs and over 220,000 students.  The official launch of SUNY Mascott Madness will be Monday, March 4 at 12 p.m. and will run throughout the month. 

SUNY social media followers (Facebook, Twitter) may vote once per round, per matchup on the SUNY Mascot Madness website, which is hosted by the Generation SUNY Blog, http://blog.suny.edu/.  Voters will be directed to that site through Twitter and their Facebook page at: http://ow.ly/hTCNj.

Orvis the Pioneer debuted during Homecoming 2012 and has been present for both athletic and admissions events.
