Colton Caldwell (Dublin, OH), Claire Hartman (Alden), and Desmond Chambers (Rochester/Gates Chili) all had solid weeks and share this week's Alfred State athlete of the week honors.
Caldwell hit .688 (11 for 16) for the baseball team. He collected two doubles, two triples, and drove in 13 runs. He also threw 6.1 innings on the mound without allowing an earned run.
Hartman hit .563 (9 for 16) in four games for the softball team. She collected two doubles, four RBI, and stole three bases.
Chambers continued to dominate on the track. He won two individual events, the 200 (22.68) and the long jump (7.08 m), and was part of the winning 4x100 relay team that won in 43.53. He also finished 2nd in the 100 (11.22).
Caldwell and the baseball team have four-game series scheduled with Tompkins Cortland CC and Niagara CCC this week.
Hartman and the softball team have doubleheaders with Onondaga CC, Genesee CC, Penn College, and Jefferson CC slated on the schedule.
Chambers and the track team head to Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday for their annual invitational.
