Alfred State is very proud of the athletic facilities we have to offer our students and the local community.
Orvis Activities Center
The Orvis Activities Center is the center of Pioneer athletics. Inside Orvis you will find the Gymnasium, the Fitness Center, Swimming Pool, and Athletic Coaches Offices.
Locker Rooms, the athletic training room, and storage and equipment rooms are inside the building as well.
Pioneer Stadium is home to the Pioneer football, track & field, soccer, and lacrosse teams. The field-turf facility features lights, seating for 1,500 fans, and a fully functioning press box.
At the entrance to the stadium there are permanent restrooms, concessions, storage areas, and a ticket office.
The facility has already hosted three NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, various high school sectional soccer and track and field events, and numerous college functions.
The Pioneers have played on their on-campus facility since the Fall of 2003.
The state of the art facility features two batting tunnels, four bullpen mounds, and a full infield tarp. The field also has an irrigation system and a scoreboard.
The field has been home to the Athletes in Action New York Collegiate baseball league franchise for multiple years and has hosted numerous high school events.
The Lady Pioneers have played in this facility since 2004.
The field has a scoreboard, covered dugouts, an infield tarp, bleachers, an irrigation system, and a storage unit.
Alfred University and the Empire 8 Championships have been hosted at the field along with several high school events.
The Pioneers have two grass practice fields that are used for football, lacrosse, and soccer practices and for intramurals. The college also has another field that has throwing areas for track in field on each side and an area for intramural competitions in between.
